Privacy policy
How Qayd collects, uses and protects your data, and your rights over it in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Last updated: 8 November 2026
1. Who we are and what this covers
This policy explains how [owning entity] processes personal data on the Qayd website and in the app. It acts as controller for account data and website requests, and as processor for the accounting data of your company that you enter.
2. The data we collect
- Account data: name, email, phone number, and your password in hashed form.
- Company and accounting data: invoices, journal entries, customers, suppliers, expenses, receipts and the files you upload.
- Your conversations with the assistant and what you attach to them.
- Demo requests from the website form: name, contact details, line of business and number of companies.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and security and error logs.
3. How we use it
- To provide the service and run the assistant on your requests.
- To protect accounts, and to record who did what and when in the audit log.
- To answer your requests and contact you about them.
- To improve the service with aggregated usage data that does not identify you.
4. AI and human confirmation
Your requests and attachments are sent to an external AI provider to be processed and answered: [provider name, whether it uses the data to train its models, and how long it keeps it].
The assistant never takes a final decision on its own. Anything that saves, posts or sends needs the confirmation of an authorised user.
5. Where data is stored
Data is stored with [hosting provider and data-centre location]. Where personal data leaves Saudi Arabia or Egypt, this happens under the conditions and safeguards the laws of both countries require.
6. Cookies and measurement
We use cookies the website needs to work: the session, protection against forged requests, and remembering your language. Your browser also keeps your choice of light or dark mode.
Measurement tools (such as Google Analytics, Meta and TikTok) load only after you accept the consent bar. You can withdraw consent by clearing this site's data in your browser.
7. How long we keep data
We keep account and company data for as long as you subscribe, then for the period accounting and tax laws require records to be kept [the period per country will be set after legal review]. We keep demo requests until they have served their purpose, then delete them.
8. Who we share data with
We share data only as far as needed with the service providers we rely on (hosting, AI and email), under contractual duties to protect it, and with official authorities when the law requires it. We do not sell your data.
9. Your rights
Under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law and its regulations, you have the right to be informed how your data is processed, to access it and obtain a copy, to correct it, to ask for its destruction once it is no longer needed, and to withdraw your consent.
Under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020, you have the right to know what data we hold, to view it, to correct or update it, to have it erased, to object to or restrict its processing, and to be told of any breach affecting it.
To exercise your rights, write to us using the details below; we will reply within the period the law sets. You may also complain to the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), or to the Personal Data Protection Centre in Egypt.
10. Security
We keep each company's data apart from every other, limit access by permission, log actions in an audit log and use encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you and the competent authorities of any material breach as the law requires.
11. Age
The platform is meant for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date of the latest version is shown at the top, and we will notify you of any material change before it takes effect.
