Terms and conditions
The terms for using Qayd, the accounting assistant for companies and accounting firms in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Last updated: 8 November 2026
1. Definitions and acceptance
Qayd is a cloud accounting platform with an AI assistant, provided by [owning entity, commercial registration and address], referred to here as "we".
By creating an account or using the platform you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you use the platform for a company, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it to these terms.
2. Your account and your team
You agree to give accurate details and keep them up to date, and to keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens through your account.
The organisation owner decides who is on the team and what each member may do in each company, and is responsible for granting and removing access.
3. The service and the AI assistant
The assistant prepares invoices, journal entries, expenses and reports from your requests and attachments, and shows them to you on cards to review.
Nothing is saved, posted or sent before a user with the right permission confirms it. Accounting figures are calculated by an accounting engine; the assistant proposes and prepares.
AI output can contain errors or gaps. Reviewing it before you confirm is your responsibility.
4. Your professional and tax responsibility
The platform is a tool. It does not give accounting, tax or legal advice, and it does not replace review by a qualified accountant.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your records, invoices and returns, and for complying with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority in Saudi Arabia, the Egyptian Tax Authority and any other competent authority. Returns are filed with these authorities by you, unless we explicitly announce a feature that files them after your confirmation.
5. Plans and fees
The trial plan is free during the pilot, within the limits shown on the pricing page, which may change with notice.
Paid plans will be announced later with their own prices and terms. We will never charge you without your prior agreement to the plan and its price.
6. Your data
Your company's data remains yours. We process it only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy.
You can export your data and ask us to delete your account and its data, subject to the retention periods the law sets for accounting records.
7. Acceptable use
- Do not use the platform for any unlawful activity, or to record fictitious or misleading transactions.
- Do not try to breach or disrupt the platform, or to reach the data of a company you have no permission for.
- Do not enter other people's personal data without a lawful basis for processing it.
- Do not try to extract the models or systems the platform runs on, or resell the service without a written agreement.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the platform available, but we do not guarantee it will be free of interruptions or errors, and we may pause it for maintenance.
We may develop or change features. We will notify you before any material change to these terms; continuing to use the platform after it takes effect means you accept it.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you take based on output you confirmed yourself. [The maximum liability will be set after legal review.]
10. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the platform at any time. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, or at the request of a competent authority, notifying you where possible and letting you export your data within a reasonable period.
11. Governing law
[To be set after legal review: the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or of the Arab Republic of Egypt, depending on the contracting entity, and the competent forum for disputes.]
